Houston Youth Hockey Group Volunteers

Many of you have contacted us regarding how you can help volunteer for our organization. At this time, we are not actively seeking volunteers. However, down the road, as we begin on-ice and off-ice programs, we will need volunteers to assist in operations. At this time, we ask those who are interested in volunteering opportunities to fill out the registration form below. It allows us to get a tally on those interested and have an email list handy to send information about programs volunteer opportunities.

ALL HYHG Board Members, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, On-ice Helpers and, Managers must register with USA Hockey (www.usahockeyregistration.com). For that are interested in volunteering on-ice, register as an "Ice Player/Coach." Those interested in volunteering off-ice (non-coach Managers, Administrators, Board Members, Team Parents, etc.) register as an "Ice Manager/Volunteer." Any "Ice Manager/Volunteer" registrations with USA Hockey are free.

To be eligible for volunteering, you must be registered with USA Hockey. 

Volunteer Roles Available Include, but are not limited to

• Try Hockey For Free Program Coach
• Try Hockey For Free Assistant Coach
• Learn To Play Program Coach
• Learn To Play Assistant Coach
• Tournament Directors
• Tournament Aids

Players over 14 and rostered with a USA Hockey Program are welcome to volunteer as an on-ice Student Coach. Certain paid student coaching opportunities may present themselves in the future.
